I didn't stay at the hotel, but I did receive services from the center. I'm glad I went in and met Jehssely. She helped me bring out things that needed to come from my soul and spirit, and find joy when I felt like I was drowning. Reconnecting with my roots and recognizing my human design manual has helped me keep trusting my process. I appreciate her services, and recommend giving yourself a gift everyone deserves.

I felt welcome and well looked after here, and a treatment I tried left me relaxed and more in tune with myself. It seems like a safe spot to recharge, whether you stay overnight or just visit for the day. There are private rooms to rent, holistic therapies, and a rooftop cafe with lovely views across Arequipa. Thank you :)

We had a lovely, roomy, clean bedroom, and the hosts were so attentive and friendly. There’s also a very sweet little dog. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop looks out over the volcanoes nearby. One of our favorite stays so far on this three-month trip. We’d happily recommend it.

I was on my first day in Arequipa, walking around in the afternoon, and stopped at a hot chocolate shop. When I was heading out around 6 pm, I noticed a wind chime in the hallway and gently touched it. It was beautiful, and I was still struck by the lovely energy the place seemed to have. A woman came rushing out, visibly upset, and shouted in Spanish, asking why I had touched it and saying it wasn’t my place. I understood what she was saying, though my Spanish wasn’t good enough to explain myself well. I apologized sincerely several times and said I hadn’t known it wasn’t allowed. I tried to explain slowly in Spanish, but she cut me off, kept demanding to know why I touched it, and shouted, “No entiendo inglés!” She wouldn’t let me get a word in. I got frightened. My body tensed, my face went pale, and my hands started shaking. I was traveling alone, and the confrontation made me extremely anxious. She partly blocked my way out while still yelling, so for a moment I felt trapped. I said sorry again, and she snapped “Goodbye!” as if kicking me out. The reaction was especially confusing because the place has so many positive online reviews describing it as a warm, spiritual hostel with good energy. What I experienced felt like the complete opposite, just hostility and negativity. I’m now alone in my hotel room crying. Maybe I disturbed her rest, and I shouldn’t have touched something without asking. Still, I apologized sincerely, and I don’t think I deserved that kind of harsh, aggressive treatment, especially somewhere that presents itself as kind and peaceful. Being on my own may have made it feel even more frightening. I wanted to write down what happened, because travel can also mean misunderstandings, discomfort, and difficult feelings, not only beautiful moments. I hope I can find some peace again in Arequipa over the next few days. In reply to the manager: Please don’t distort what happened. If there’s surveillance footage, you can review it and check whether shouting took place. I’m concerned that a place claiming to support healing would defend aggressive, violent shouting as “direct and firm communication.” The wind chime was in a public hallway, where visitors naturally come into contact with their surroundings. Once I understood there was a problem, I apologized repeatedly. The woman involved, who I later understood was your wife, chose to make the encounter more aggressive and confrontational, and it left me distressed and panicked. I can’t accept an apology that recasts violent behavior as discipline. Respect has to go both ways. If visitors are expected to respect your space, you need to show the same respect. I hope you’ll reflect honestly on what happened instead of defending it under the label of “healing.”
