(Rooms 403-404) As of October 2021, I had a turkey vulture perched on my balcony just outside the window, watching the street and hunting during the day. The view is quite something, and I feel lucky to see the bird from only 5-10 ft away. The room is large, clean and pleasant, with a firm bed. Because of the covid pandemic, I'm paying 80 soles a night, about $20 at the current 4 to 1 exchange rate, if I stay at least three nights. I think the usual price would be over a hundred soles. With no tourists around, they need the business, so I got a discount. Breakfast is included, though it's mediocre. I could pay half as much elsewhere, but I like having a roomy, clean place.

The staff were really nice and accommodating, which is why I returned for a second stay. It was a clean, welcoming place and cost 80 soles for the night. The solar hot water system doesn't get very hot, though, so if you need a hot shower, this probably isn't the place for you.

We ended up at this hotel after leaving another hostel that had good reviews but was dirty and had no water. Moving here was the right call. It's close to everything in the center, though there is a little street noise. The hotel is clean, the shower is hot, and breakfast is really tasty. The reception was helpful with all our requests, and the hotel is family-friendly. It's almost impossible to find somewhere this good in the same price range, so I'd definitely recommend it and come back. I don't usually write reviews, but this place deserves one. I left my phone behind, and the cleaning lady found it. Somehow they tracked me down through Facebook messenger and returned it. It had internet banking on it, so it was really important to me. I even missed my flight and came back to collect it. Thanks so much, James, for contacting me so quickly and giving my phone back!
