When our flight got canceled, we arrived a day late, and the woman there kindly waived the charge for that first night. It’s a cozy hostel in a great spot. The breakfast is basic but enough, and it’s a simple, good place to stay.

A nice-looking place in a good location, with a clean room and toilets that were mostly clean. Hot water only lasts a short while, and breakfast isn’t included, but for the price it’s generally fine. There’s no kitchen access. You can leave your bags for a small fee while trekking, and the WiFi is fairly fast, though it works only sporadically.

This was the worst place I stayed during my trip in Peru. The price was higher than what I saw online, they charged me twice as much, and then asked me not to pay by credit card. The receptionist seemed nice, but it felt like a front. My room needed air, and if you’re traveling alone, stay away. The vibe was creepy.

The communal breakfast space was nice, but the breakfast itself was barely enough to feed a mouse. My room was small, with too little furniture to unpack comfortably. The shared shower wasn’t pleasant, though I could put up with it.
