We paid 80 soles a night and stayed four nights, which felt too expensive. They never cleaned the room, bathroom, or beds. They also ruined my baby alpaca sweater, scarf, and hat in the laundry. The door is locked, so you have to ring the bell every time you want to get in.

For 90 soles, my double room was very cozy. The location is super central, two blocks from San Camilo market and four from the main square, with shops all around. It’s a decent place to arrive, leave your things, shower comfortably, and rest in a decent bed. I’d definitely stay again.

It’s not like it was ten years ago, though it is close to the main square, at 305 Santo Domingo Street. I paid 130 soles a night for a triple room, and there was hot water. The bathrooms could be cleaner. They don’t smell bad, but I think the tiles should shine more.

The hotel could really use some TLC. Noise is the bigger problem, though: the doorbells ring incredibly loudly almost all night, until 4 a.m., and it gets noisy again from 7 a.m. If you need sleep, don’t stay here.
