Hotel San Francisco Inn

The location was handy, near the main square and on a street with several bars. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags until check-in at noon. Breakfast was poor, though things seemed fine otherwise. The next day we found that one of our coats had been stolen while we were out of the room. Since we had to ring the bell to get into the hotel, it seemed to us that only an employee could have taken it. We reported it at reception. They said they would review the security cameras and contact us, but weeks have gone by with no word. What began as a pleasant trip to Arequipa became an unpleasant memory because of this.

The hotel was very clean, and I slept well in a good bed. The Wi-Fi and hot shower were great, and the staff were attentive and really friendly. They even arranged excursions for me. The location was perfect, just two blocks from Plaza de Armas and still quiet. I'd definitely come back.

A nice, clean hotel. Breakfast is self-service and starts very early. Head to the terrace around 6 am and you may have it all to yourself, with great views for photos of the Misti volcano.

My mother really liked that the hotel is just one block from the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa. We both found the lobby and rooms welcoming and family-friendly, and the staff, including the receptionist, manager, and security, were pleasant and attentive throughout our stay. They were ready to help with questions or requests from the moment we arrived. The rooms and other areas were spotless, especially the rooms. There are several spaces, including a cafeteria, lobby, and balcony with a view of the Misti volcano. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety, and staff asked if guests wanted anything special. My mother especially enjoyed the juices, fruit salad, and fritters made with vegetables, flour, egg, onion, and rice. The building has lovely sillar stone from the facade through the entrance and reception to the lobby, a distinctive feature of the White City. My mother and I wholeheartedly recommend it. There's also an elevator, which makes reaching the rooms and other areas easier for seniors. Enjoy!
