Il Riposo - Hostel

The rooftop terrace had amazing views of the city and volcanoes, with comfy seats and a kitchen guests could use. The rooms had TVs and comfortable beds, and service was available 24 hours. I only needed a place for one night at short notice, and the family welcomed me late and invited me into their home. I even played guitar with one of the sons. After a hard day, meeting such friendly people made my day. It's a wonderful family-run hostel, and I made friends with the owners. I'd recommend it.

The family were helpful and kind, and the shower had strong pressure and got really hot. The location was very good too. But the common areas weren't clean, and the walls and furniture needed maintenance. The shared kitchen was free to use and equipped, but so dirty that cooking in it was difficult. Please clean the place! We booked just the first night here, then had to move to their other hostel, a 5-minute walk away. Its beds and general facilities were better, but it only had an electric shower and no kitchen. The beds here were good as well.

The owner and staff were nice, and they made a late check-in easy for us. The beds were big and there was hot water. It's a little old, and the Wi-Fi was occasionally spotty, but otherwise we had a great stay. Great location, too.

We stayed twice, and both times the staff were very friendly. It's inexpensive and close to everything. They kept our bags for us while we went to the colca canyon 😊 The shower was the best we've had in South America so far, hot and powerful. Thank you!
