We ended up staying five extra days because we liked it so much. Hilda has been the kindest host we've met since we began travelling. She's always happy to help, makes you feel at home, and puts real effort into finding things for guests to do in Arequipa. It's a peaceful place, not a party hostel, with large, clean rooms. We could walk everywhere because it's near the center. The value for money is really good, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The shower was the weak point. Otherwise, the host was lovely, the kitchen was very good, and our couple's room was huge.

The rooms were okay, but the shower water was really cold and the pressure was poor. The best part of the hostel was its super-fast internet.

At least the room was clean, but there was only one bathroom for the whole hostel and no hot shower. We had given our check-in time with the booking, yet nobody was there. The bell didn't work, so luckily the door was unlocked. A guest answered our knock and handed us the room key. The next day there was still nobody to speak to about payment or even to return the key to.

The owners are really nice, and the price more than makes up for the drawbacks. We stayed three nights, and the rooms and beds were great. There's one bathroom for five double rooms, and the kitchen isn't equipped very well yet. They'd only just started renting the place and were still buying things.
