Paola and her family made our five-person family feel like part of theirs. We had two teens and one pre-teen with us, and all five of us slept comfortably in a clean room with five beds. They cleaned the room daily, and we loved thoughtful touches like tea in the evening. Paola helped us arrange a day tour to Chivay and the Colca Canyon, and they were so helpful with rides to and from the airport and bus station. On those trips, Paola also told us a lot about the city, the volcanoes, and Arequipeñan culture. We had a lovely stay.

From the rooftop, the view is especially nice. It’s a cozy hostel with comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, and a good breakfast. Some showers don’t get properly hot, but the ones that do are fine.

This was a good spot to settle in and rest between the many tours around the city. The staff were super friendly, and the hostel has hot water, Wi-Fi, and a TV with several channels. It’s on a one-way street that’s quiet during the day and peaceful at night. You can walk to the Bolognesi Bridge, which goes straight to the Plaza de Armas, in about 10 minutes. On the way there are shops, affordable restaurants, and several public bus routes. It’s also close to Avenida Ejército, where the Real Plaza Mall is, near the Yanahuara viewpoint, and on the avenue that leads directly to the airport.

It was comfortable and quiet, with a dark room, which was exactly what I was after. If you enjoy walking, the main square is a quick trip on foot. Thanks for taking good care of me. I’d recommend it to backpackers.
