Motel Sahara Suites

The owners were incredibly helpful when we were trying to get back to huaraz. They called around to numerous places to arrange transport for us. The motel was clean and secure, and it's a place I'd recommend if you're passing through and need somewhere safe and sound to sleep.

Dinner isn't served here, so eat before arriving. Otherwise, they can call a Tuk Tuk taxi and recommend a good restaurant in town. The hostel is run by a very loving elderly couple, who even shared breakfast with us. They speak fluent English if you don't speak Spanish. Individual rooms each have their own gated parking, giving privacy and a homely feel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the internet was good, and there's a TV in each room. Hot water and a quiet night made it a good rest after a long drive. It's the only place in this small town where you'll get that.

A welcome little oasis in a fairly industrial area. The rooms were comfortable and had Wi-Fi, TWO pillows (!), private bathrooms with hot showers, and individual parking. All that for 50sols. There's not much around, but it's a good stop along the Pan American.

A really good, safe place to stay. That morning coffee was so strong it could keep an average person going for a week. We loved it!
