8/10
The rooms were noisy. I was on the third floor and could hear what sounded like party guests or children crying as if they were right outside my door. There was no hot water on my first morning, but that was fixed for the rest of my stay. The staff were excellent across reception, housekeeping, and breakfast, and I liked the breakfast selection. Dinner service felt a bit awkward on both occasions I ate at the hotel.

It was fine, but no more than that. The rooms have interior windows, and the place feels dated and echoey, so it needs an update. There’s no bottled water in the rooms, and breakfast was pretty mediocre.

The room looked out over the roofline of the church on Plaza de Armas, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located in Cajamarca, just a block from the plaza. My room was a little worn, though.

It’s near Plaza de Armas and was clean, with good service. You can find better prices around, though.
