Hotel El Mirador del Inca

The staff were helpful, and there’s secure parking available. The hotel is a good option, about three blocks from the main square.

Good food and a nice bedroom. It’s a nice place.

Getting out of the hotel felt like a serious safety concern: the front desk has to unlock the exit, and it can't be opened from inside, so you can't leave on your own in an emergency. The hairdryer also costs 5 soles per day, and they don't tell you about the charge beforehand. Hot water was available only one or two days a week. The towels stayed dirty and weren't changed. The beds were rock hard, and the old, worn pillows made sleeping very difficult. For three people, they gave us just one roll of toilet paper each day and refused to provide more when we asked. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special. The only reason I'm giving a star is that the cook was friendly.

The room was excellent, with a minibar and a view of the street. But they didn't restock the soap or cleaning supplies, so I had to ask at reception or buy them outside. Breakfast was typical, though one day there were insects in our coffee.
