Hostel Climbing Point

You don’t have to be a climber to enjoy this place. It’s great value, with clean rooms, comfortable accommodations, a nice terrace view, and a good atmosphere among the travellers. The family who runs it are caring, genuine, and helpful. Highly recommend it 🙏😊

The place was spotless, and the owner was really kind. He let us leave our bags there a few times while we went hiking. The room was nice for the price, though the hostel is far from the center. Breakfast was only two eggs and two small pieces of bread, which wasn't enough for me.

We ended up staying about a week and had a relaxed, easygoing time. Omar was helpful throughout and knew a lot about the different things to do in the national park. The hostel books tours at good prices, and some were cheaper than arranging transport to the spots ourselves. We also rented everything we needed for the Santa Cruz Trek, including a tent, sleeping bags, roll mat, stove, and pots. They stored our things for free while we were away, which some other places charge for. The top-floor kitchen was bright, very clean, and had a great view. Internet was fast, and laundry was available for an extra charge. Breakfast was included, with bread and a choice of jam, avocado, or eggs; the bread was especially tasty. The hot showers were great too. We came in at 6am after a night bus, and Omar let us in. The rooms are simple and fine, though the beds weren't the most comfortable if you're picky. It's a bit outside the center but walkable, and the neighborhood is quiet. Would definitely recommend.

It's a basic hostel, but the price is hard to beat. The owner knows the tours well and is happy to arrange one for a good rate. Beds are good, showers are great, and breakfast is simple. Figure on a 15-minute walk to the center.
