Hotel Prado

During the 2023 Cajamarca Carnival, we paid 80 soles per person per night, breakfast included. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathrooms were basic but acceptable for the price. Staff were attentive and friendly, and gave us several Carnival tips and suggestions, which made the stay very pleasant. It’s a very good value hotel in a good location, two blocks from the plaza.

The service feels personal and first class, with the warmth you’d expect from the good people of Cajamarca. Rooms are available for different budgets, from 50 to 150 soles.

I felt well looked after. It’s in a quiet spot close to the market square and feels like good value. The staff don’t wear uniforms, but I didn’t find them like the shady characters some people described. Regards.

The rooms were clean and acceptable, and the service had been very good. Then this morning I had a terrible experience. I’m sorry to hear about the hotel, especially after reading another person’s comment describing the same thing. I don’t know whether anyone else has had that experience there.
