Hotel California Valle Sagrado

The location is handy for just about everything, including the terminal, main square, and main road. There’s also a vegan restaurant and a really cool museum nearby. I stayed in a suite with a lovely view and private terrace. Breakfast came with bread, butter, jelly, eggs, cheese, orange juice, and coffee. I skipped it on my first morning as a vegan, then asked for fruit the next day and they were happy to arrange it. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water, which I appreciated. The suite also had a two-person jacuzzi, but the hot water ran out before it was even half full.

I meant to spend one night here and ended up staying three. The staff were attentive, the rates were great, and the rooms were clean. After two weeks of eating out in Peru, finding a beautiful, clean kitchen where I could make my own breakfast was a pleasant surprise. No complaints about this hotel.

Gerardo, one of the staff, was so warm and kind, and I had a good stay here. It’s a handy base for travelling around the sacred valley. My dorm was clean, there was hot water, and the rooftop was beautiful. I could see the mountains from my window.

The view at breakfast was beautiful, looking out over a huge tree full of birds, including lots of hummingbirds. It was the best breakfast I’ve had in Peru. The place also seemed quite new and was very clean. We stayed here before the Larez trek, got really sick, and came back without a reservation. The staff were so friendly and let us in before check-in time. They were incredibly accommodating. Thank you so much.
