I spent three nights here and got a bad case of food poisoning on the first day. It came from eating in the city, not at the hotel, and left me barely able to stand. The ladies at reception went out to get re-hydration drinks, which helped a lot, and the owner even offered to drive me to a hospital. Their care and attention were exemplary. My room was spacious, including the bathroom, which was a big plus while I was unwell. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot.

The staff and dueña took fantastic care of us. You can help yourself to unlimited water and coffee all day and night. Room #15 is especially worth getting if you can, with mountain views and a view of Zeus the Pig. There can be a bit of noise from construction across the street.

Yoni and her staff made our family of five feel very welcome during our five nights at Los Laureles in Calca. Yoni treated us like family and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She let us use the kitchen to prepare a special meal for our kids, and even took us to a local artisan market in Pisaq. Zeus, the hotel’s not-so-little pig mascot, was a hit with my daughters. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back to Hotel Los Laureles next time we’re in Calca. Thank you, Yoni and the whole hotel team.
