Gocta Natura Reserve

We could hear the distant waterfall from the balcony, where evenings were perfect for sitting with a book and listening to nature. The separate rooms and bungalows are cleverly arranged, so we often felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. There’s also a 4 km hike across the property to a nearby river, along with lots of birds, views of Gocta waterfall, and jungle all around. It felt like a paradise that restored our energy. Inside, we had a luxurious bed and a relaxing shower with high-quality amenities. Cakes and fruit were kindly left in our room each day. That mix of outdoor adventure and indoor comfort made the place feel special. We also loved the creative, light, natural, delicious menu. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it.

Four of us stayed in two cabins for three nights, and we had the best time at the Reserve. Camilla organized really fun activities that let us explore the jungle. The cabins were clean and comfortable, with personal touches we noticed and appreciated. And the food was superb. I’ll be dreaming about it for weeks. Don’t hesitate, book your stay!

The best part was having John take us to Gocta Waterfall at 3 a.m. He was a wonderful person and attentive to every detail. Gocta Natura gave my mother and me a lovely place to connect on our mother-daughter trip, and somehow we came away feeling we’d gained more family. We adored the cabins and the area around them. Stone paths link the cabins, with chances to come across wildlife, while each one is private enough to keep out noise and activity. The menu was marvelous too. Every day we had fresh local fruit and vegetables from the garden, with varied, distinctive dishes made with love. Thank you!

Camilla was thoughtful, kind, and attentive, and we felt completely looked after. Chef Gustavo was phenomenal, with every meal balanced and delicious. The rooms were very comfortable, and I loved meeting Pongo and Lucy, the sweetest pups. We spotted hummingbirds and a few other kinds of birds and explored the beautiful grounds. The care put into the rooms, decor, and service at Gocta Natura Reserva was unmatched. I wish we could have stayed longer!
