The outdoor area is really nice, and the rooms are comfortable. For the price, though, a few things need work. The electrical showers were removed after the owners said they were shocking people, and they still haven't installed better replacements, so there's no hot water. Service can be slow because there aren't enough staff and they're overworked. You may need to ask two or three times. The food is expensive for the portion sizes.

What stood out most at Zoila's Suite Escape was how much the owners cared about us. When we felt unwell, they brought us soothing tea and even offered to help get antibiotics if we needed them. They also arranged our ride back to Cajamarca and let us stay at the property longer so we could rest while waiting for the bus. The place itself is spotless, peaceful, and beautifully designed. It felt like somewhere we were truly looked after, and we can't recommend it enough.

The grounds are lush, with fruit trees, including avocado trees, and there's a river full of trout right nearby. You also have a volleyball court and soccer field in the backyard. Zoila was super friendly and hospitable, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. It's about 15 minutes from Kuelap and New Tingo, and 35 minutes from Chachapoyas. Breakfast is included, and you can buy lunch or dinner if you tell her ahead what you'd like. They're building a big pool and it's nearly finished. I wish I could have tried it. I'd recommend it to solo travelers, couples, and families passing through. I'd give it ten stars if I could. Thank you, Zoila!

It's so quiet here, with green gardens full of all kinds of fruit, including bananas, oranges, and coffee, and the river and mountains nearby. You can relax and enjoy the fresh air. Kuelap is just a 15-minute walk away. No cars, smog, or party atmosphere, and no houses around. Everything was new, clean, and fresh when it opened on 1.5.19. Both owners speak English and Spanish and share their happiness and friendliness in evening conversations. You can play table tennis or pool too. Recommended!
