Right across from the streets, the hotel is in a handy spot and has all the amenities. It can be noisy, though. The room and linens were clean, and the service was commendable.

The Kavat is worth a visit on its own, especially for the over-the-top daily specials. At the hotel, staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms felt like good value. Ask for one of the 8 or 9 rooms, such as 308, 309, 408, or 409, for a cross breeze and a bird's-eye view of the street activity. There’s a mini fridge for leftovers, comfortable beds, and large, clean bathrooms. Towels, soap, and toilet paper are provided.

Don't trust the ratings. I was offered Rs 150 for every three five-star ratings I posted with screenshots. Some companies are paying staff to recruit people and give them hotel or resort ratings as a task. Be alert.
