Hostal Buen Pastor

For 9 soles the hostel serves a pretty good breakfast, and there are plenty of cheap, tasty places to eat nearby. Guests can’t use a kitchen, so cooking or making your own breakfast isn’t really an option. I booked a Nazca Lines overflight for under 300 soles, which seemed quite cheap. The staff were very nice, and one spoke English really well. There’s a nice rooftop terrace. My private room with bathroom cost just €12,50, ridiculously cheap. The hostel was very clean, and there was hot water all day, but the shower took five minutes to warm up.

Jesus and his family made me feel at home. The hostel was very clean and centrally located. I was lucky to get the third-floor terrace, a shared room that takes up the whole floor. A really nice stay.

The building is interesting, with balconies on every floor and a huge terrace where the dorm is. It’s a lovely spot to sit in the evening and catch some sunset. The place is cheap and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the hosts are very nice. They also sell a Nazca Lines flight tour for 70 USD, a genuine, good tour at a lower price than you’ll find on the high street. The downside is that it’s close to the main square, so it can be loud in the evening and at night. The shower seemed to have only cold water, but that wasn’t a big deal when it was 28 degrees outside.

The service was fantastic, and the location was great. These guys really go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay.
