The Wi-Fi was slow and kept cutting out, and my room wasn't serviced for 3 days, not even to empty the bathroom bin. On day two, there was no hot water for most of the day, and the staff didn't seem very interested in fixing it. The windows and doors didn't seal properly, so there was plenty of noise, though that's standard for budget hotels in Peru. This place was just okay. Breakfast was poor, with stale bread. El Rancho, just across the street, had a much better breakfast for s/.10.

The rooms were small and cramped, with very little ventilation, and didn't feel welcoming or comfortable. Management was no help. The receptionist was friendly and tried to assist us, but couldn't resolve things. The biggest problem was that there was no elevator, which hadn't been made clear when we booked. You have to climb three flights of stairs to reach the lobby, then another three or four to get to the rooms. With children, older people, or heavy luggage, this place just isn't suitable. We had high expectations, but the stay was uncomfortable from the start. We left right after checking in because the conditions weren't suitable or remotely comfortable for our group. I don't recommend it. Read reviews carefully before booking, since there are much better options in Chiclayo.

A central, quiet, pet-friendly place, ideal for a day or an unforgettable break. The service, friendliness, safety, hygiene, and treatment were all excellent.
