Colca Andina Inn

Kind people and a simple breakfast that was enough: juice, bread, hot water, tea bags, Nespresso coffee, an egg, butter, and jam. It feels more like a motel for travelers, with no lift. My room had three separate beds and three lockable cubbies, but no A/C, and the bathroom needs renovating. There was no warm water in the morning. The location is central, though cars can’t stop right outside, so you walk about 50 m.

We liked the value for money enough to stay here twice. It’s central and quiet, on a pedestrian-only street, especially in the rooms at the back. The beds were comfortable, and the evening shower was hot. Breakfast was standard and served from 6 to 8 am. The rooms weren’t even that cold, but there’s an electric heater if you need one.

The valley and volcano views from breakfast were excellent, and the food was good too. It’s right in the center, which is a big plus. Staff were lovely and helpful, and both the room and bathroom were immaculately clean. A very nice place to stay, highly recommend.

They even picked up the jacket we’d forgotten at the bus station, which was so kind and helpful. The rooms are simple but clean, and there’s a nice view from the restaurant upstairs. You can watch the volcano erupt every 20 minutes...
