The room was nice, but I wouldn’t stay again. Different staff gave us different breakfast end times, and after we rushed from the airport, the restaurant said breakfast wasn’t available even though the front desk had told us it was. It seemed they packed it away whenever suited them. The service felt brisk and a bit chaotic.

They were very strict about the 2 pm check-in and made us wait nine minutes because the rooms weren’t ready. Traveling as a group was also messy: they mixed up our rooms several times, giving a couple twin beds and friends a double. We were charged 20 soles for a second room card for a three-person room even though we hadn’t lost it. Another staff member said we couldn’t have been asked to pay and promised to speak to a supervisor, but we never heard back. One of the worst hotel staff experiences I’ve had. Ridiculous policy all around.

The shower leaked across the bathroom floor, so we had to lay towels down to hold the water. The windows did nothing to block outside noise, and it felt like sleeping on the sidewalk. The bed was hard as a dining table, with just two thin sheets and no comforter. This was genuinely one of the worst nights of sleep I’ve had in a hotel. It felt like they chose the cheapest options instead of thinking about guest comfort. Spend a little more and stay at the Holiday Inn across the street.

The staff were very polite, but that was about the only good part. The bathroom smelled, the towels were old, and the internet was spotty and lousy. There’s just one elevator, and it takes forever. The hotel sits on a noisy corner, with car alarms and motorists all night, and the windows don’t keep the sound out, so getting even a little sleep was impossible. The air conditioner was noisy too, and breakfast was cold and underwhelming. It may have been three or four stars once, but now it badly needs renovation. Worst location.
