Adrian and his parents made us feel like family, especially when altitude sickness hit. Adrian, who speaks English fluently, helped us arrange tours and even joined us on a trek. Their hospitality made it hard to leave, and we hope to see them again. If you're looking for somewhere in Huaraz, Como en casa is an easy choice. The rooms are in a separate building behind the main one, so you're close to everything but still get some quiet. Our room felt new and stylish, with a comfortable bed and everything clean. Nights in Huaraz get cold at that altitude, but there were enough blankets to stay warm. The restaurant and bar in the main building served great food and drinks, and we could spend the day there while resting after a long trek.
