The owners and team made the stay special. They were genuinely kind and ready to help with local advice, arrangements, and activities like horse riding, which they clearly love. Breakfast was simple and tasty, and you can order dinner too. It was comforting food after a day out, with coffee and tea available during the day. We stayed a few nights at Amaru Treehouse, in a peaceful green valley beside the river, with mountains all around and very few tourists. It felt authentic and still largely untouched. The hotel is small, new, and thoughtfully designed. Our room was clean and comfortable, with hot water, a good shower, and big windows looking out over the valley. It isn't five-star, but everything worked and the atmosphere was relaxed. WiFi was good, and parking at the property was easy and free. There are several worthwhile places nearby, so two or three nights would let you enjoy the area properly. It's a charming base in a beautiful part of Peru, and I'd happily return. It seems to have plenty of potential to keep improving.

The main drawback was the nighttime noise. Since the hotel is in town, the rooms facing outside pick up roosters and dogs barking. Still, it’s a convenient place to stay if you’re driving, roughly an hour and a half by car from Vinicunca and Palccoyo. The hotel is newly built, the rooms were tidy and well kept, and the service was outstanding. A solid choice in Cusipata by the river.

We spent three nights here with our two kids, and the staff did so much to make us comfortable. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely love to come back. Thanks for everything!

Waking up to that magnificent view was a treat, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. I booked both a Rainbow Mountain tour and horseback riding through the hotel, and each was perfectly organized and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Holger helped us sort through hiking, sightseeing, and road-trip options around the area, which was much appreciated. We only stayed one night with my wife, but I'd recommend staying longer because there are so many landscapes to explore. The hotel is brand new and nicely designed, with a great mountain view. After hiking, the hot shower felt wonderful, and the bed was really warm and comfortable. Thanks a lot!
