The staff were very nice, but the hotel is off the beaten path. Bring cash if you want to buy things like water or soda. The carpet made the place look dark and gave it an odor, and the heavy bed comforter, which would have been nice for warmth, was stained.

The building is a bit of a maze, which is kind of fun, and it can accommodate large groups. The rooms were clean, the showers were hot, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great hotel.

The outside might put you off, but inside I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed for a month while studying at university, and the accommodation was great. The hosts and hotel employees were friendly every day, always wishing me well. Breakfast was simple, but it was good to have it each morning. Plaza de Armes is only about a five minute walk away, with everything Cusco has to offer close by. The one problem was unstable wifi that dropped unexpectedly and disrupted my assignments. I'd definitely recommend staying here in Cusco.

The place was clean and in a good spot, just a safe five minute walk to the main square and restaurants. Mr Soup is worth trying. The workers and the man who carried my bag upstairs were really nice and helpful, though I can't say the same about check-in or reception. They never answered the phone at night, either. It was freezing in the hallways, the entrance basement where breakfast is served, and everywhere else. The breakfasts were so-so, and make sure to get a heater in your room.
