The hotel had all the comforts I'd expect in the United States or Europe, and it's hard to imagine choosing somewhere else. The staff were so nice, and the breakfast was incredible. It's on a safe street with easy access to the plaza de armas. They also provide free filtered cold water and hot water for tea. It sounds like a small thing, but it made our stay so much easier.

This place has a real charm to it. Luci and her team are warm, kind, and very professional. A travel tip: don't book tours in a panic because you're worried you won't see everything. Just arrive at the hotel and ask Luci and her local team, who speak good english, to help you get where you need to go. It costs comparatively very little, and you get to feel like the locals are letting you in on things. It’s kind of like walking into the Copacabana through the kitchen in Goodfellas. You feel like a MADE traveler.

We stayed three nights across two visits. It was clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast and a huge bed, though there wasn't much other space, so managing our gear took a lot of juggling. It was cold. The heating only runs from 7pm to 7am, but they lent us a portable heater, which we really needed and appreciated. We arrived early in the morning and were told they'd call when a room was ready. They never called. When we finally came back wet and cold at 2:30pm, just before the official 3pm check-in, several rooms were available. That was frustrating.

The room may feel a bit small, and sound carries through the walls, but the positives outweigh that. The location is excellent, breakfast is awesome, and the courtyard and rooftop view are really nice.
