Antigua Casona San Blas

The food was a real highlight of our four nights at Antigua Casona San Blas. Breakfast came with a gourmet à la carte menu, fresh carrot juice, aged Manchego, and slightly sweet quinoa soup. Dinner on our last night was honestly the best meal we’ve had in Peru so far, even after eating at some great places. I wish I could move in! The San Blas neighborhood is charming and convenient, and we could walk almost anywhere in the city. We even walked straight up to the Saqsaywaman ruins from the hotel. Our room was refreshed several times a day, and there was a handy filtered water tap near reception. Edwin was so friendly and went out of his way with our bags and logistics. I also had an incredible massage at the spa with Sara, using beautiful Andean scents. It felt like home during our Machu Picchu trip. Highly recommend.

The reception team made everything easy, including helping with tours. I was excited to wake up for breakfast, and Miguel made it even better. The spa was amazing too, with a massage from Elise. Beautiful rooms and beds, and a great location. This was the highlight of my trip, and honestly the most amazing hotel I’ve stayed in, not just in Cusco but anywhere.

Staff treated us like family throughout our four-night stay at Antigua Casona San Blas. When we arrived in an Uber, three of them were already at the door to help with our luggage and check us in. Our room was ready within minutes, and they explained what the hotel offered. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and handled our questions and requests with a smile and courtesy. We’d definitely stay again if we return to Cusco. It’s a peaceful, luxurious place in the heart of San Blas. We loved the attention to detail in the rooms and shared spaces, and made full use of the amenities, including a wonderfully rejuvenating spa treatment for two after exploring the city. A high-end, relaxing retreat.

Breakfasts were phenomenal, and Miguel at the restaurant was especially attentive to my food allergies. Once he learned we were guests, he made sure I had suitable options. The on-site yoga classes were another great part of our stay. Grace and Edwin also stood out. Grace gave us excellent local tips, helped us smoothly when we had to return after our flight was cancelled, and greeted us every day with such warmth and positivity. She was a ray of sunshine. Edwin was just as attentive and accommodating. The whole team was delightful and kept going above and beyond to make sure my wife and I had a fantastic stay.
