The rooms were clean, and the hotel is handy for the airport, though it sits outside the historic center. Our double bed was quite narrow and hard. There aren't many good places to eat nearby, but taxis are available to get into town.

We wanted somewhere peaceful to rest away from downtown, and Royal Inn Cusco suited us perfectly. The breakfast was enjoyable, and we appreciated having unlimited coca tea. The place was clean, the service was great, and the location worked well for us. When we needed a taxi, the front desk called a trusted one. Thanks, Royal Inn, for a great stay in Cusco.
We'd happily stay here again on a future trip to Cusco. It's under 10 minutes from the airport by taxi and was very good value. The modern hotel and our spacious room were clean, with a large comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The WiFi barely had one bar and was painfully slow, and there wasn't even bottled water in the room. Breakfast was just a piece of dry bread and a spoonful of eggs. The rooms and shower were freezing cold. I honestly think the high ratings from local guides were probably paid for. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Save your money and go somewhere else.
The room itself was fine, but a few minutes after we were put in it and had started unpacking, staff knocked and moved us to another one. The halls were so dark in the morning that I couldn't find the elevator. I had requested the hotel shuttle, which was very close by, but it wasn't ready when asked. There were few amenities, so I wasn't delighted with the stay.
