El Retablo

The thoughtful art and decor made El Retablo feel like a place to experience another side of Cuzco, rather than just a hotel. We stayed in several places in Cuzco, and this one stood out by far. The rooms were modern, very clean, and extremely comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and the service was on another level.

It was easy to walk to everything we wanted to see in Cusco, and for a boutique hotel in such a good spot, the price is hard to beat. The place is adorable, with great views, friendly, helpful staff, and a good breakfast. I did miss a few things you’d find in standard hotels, like conditioner and bathrobes.

After the Inca Trail, we spent two nights here and I felt as if I were staying somewhere five-star. The hotel was spotless and really comfortable, and the staff were so helpful. The bathroom products were great too, and breakfast was amazing. Such a cute place, I’d absolutely recommend it. 🌼🌸🌼

We stayed two nights before and two nights after our Salkantay trek, and I’d return in a heartbeat if I come back to Cusco. The rooms were spotless and had charming decor, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really tasty. Each evening there was a courtyard happy hour with live music from talented musicians. It’s within walking distance of the historic Plaza de Armas, though the walk back up to the hotel is steep.
