It's a comfortable lodge-style hotel with a view over historical Cisco. When we arrived, they sat us down and offered Coco tea for the altitude, with a jar of leaves left available for the rest of our stay. It's a short walk uphill from the square, and well worth it for such a calm, quiet setting.

The room was very clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff were really nice!

Being near the main square made it easy to join tours, and the room was fine for what we paid. The downside was the nightlife noise, which made sleeping difficult. We also had to haul ourselves up four flights of stairs after walking around all day. Checkout was a little awkward because of a refund we were owed and our bags. It was okay overall.

The location is very good, and the rooms are perfectly adequate. At check-in I asked about a room, and we settled on a two-night price a little below the Booking.com listing. It seemed fair for the room I was offered. But at checkout I was charged twice that amount. The person I'd made the deal with wasn't there, and apparently had left a note saying that higher price was what we'd agreed, which wasn't true. Paying itself was never an issue; I just felt the way this was handled was unfair, so I can't recommend the staff for that reason.
