They did replace the sheets, refund the second night, and discount the first, which was the one decent part. The room we had booked was taken when we arrived, so they put us in what they called an upgraded room. The bedding had footprints and stains on it. The spa bath was grimy, the bathroom floor had stains and hair, and the curtain rail was coming away from the wall. Water leaked past the shower screen and flooded the floor. We also had to ask an hour ahead for a hot shower, and it was barely warm.

The neighborhood didn't have a pleasant view, and our room wasn't ready when promised. We were meant to get the double room, type 2, at 11:00 AM, but were told to come back at noon because other guests were still there. The room itself had a double bed, no hot water, and the Wi-Fi seemed to be switched off.

The hotel is beside hardware stores. Even though our reservation had been confirmed, they said they had no rooms reserved for us, so we ended up having to find another hotel at 4 a.m.

The staff were friendly, though they didn't seem well coordinated. I wasn't very happy with the place. Service and the rooms both need some improvement, and the room could have been presented with more care.

It was a very clean place, but the towels were stiff. They said the water was hot, though it came out lukewarm. In cold Cusco, proper hot water really matters.
