The location is the main draw. Illa Hotel sits in the heart of San Blas, surrounded by charming shops and restaurants, and it’s an 8-10 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. We arrived around 8:30 pm and the staff member who welcomed us was friendly and helpful. It’s clean and practical for a traveler, though it isn’t a luxury hotel. There was a slight humid smell in the room, something we also heard other guests mention. We noticed it, but could manage it. It made a reliable base for exploring nearby attractions.

The room was so quiet, which made for a great night's sleep. It was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed. The decor was lovely, and the surroundings felt peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I loved staying here and would definitely return.

Everyone we met at Illa Hotel made us feel at home. I can’t remember their names, but the woman at the front desk with glasses, the man who helped carry our luggage upstairs, and the woman running the breakfast kitchen were all amazing, as were the other people we encountered. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. I’d stay here again and recommend it to friends or family visiting Cusco.

Everything you need is within a 10-minute walk, including Cusco’s historic square. We found this lovely place tucked into the alleys and got a great price. Our room on the third floor had four amazingly comfortable beds and great linens. It felt cozy, almost like our own home. The receptionists were so kind and helpful. I’d happily stay here night after night if I could.

The staff really made the stay, going out of their way to arrange taxis and keep our luggage for two nights while we visited the jungle. They even left a chocolate bar in the room for my boyfriend’s birthday, which felt so thoughtful and welcoming. The room was warm and cozy, with a hot shower and excellent water pressure. The bed was a little hard, but still comfortable. We had a great time and would stay again.
