Muru Homely Hotel

I was already in the area for almost a week, and the doctor said I had acclimated. She checked my oxygen levels, but within a couple of hours of eating the breakfast buffet I was sick and in a lot of pain. An ambulance had to take me to the hospital. It was absolutely the breakfast. Can it get any worse?

The room was clean and apartment-sized, and the view was amazing. Breakfast was included. The staff were accommodating when my husband was hospitalized and let us modify our reservation. They also supplied oxygen for us. We enjoyed our stay.

I LOVE this hotel. I'm not even checked out yet and had to write this. The rooms are a good size, super clean, with very comfortable beds and hot water that never ran out. It looks like it's been renovated fairly recently. The roof restaurant is great and the views are awesome. It's about a 10 walk to the historic area, a little far from the action, though Ubers are so cheap for us that I'd trade the location for the amenities and price here. Street-facing rooms can be a little noisy, so ask for one facing away from the street. I used earplugs and slept like a baby in those comfy beds. The TV in our room didn't work, so we switched rooms, no big deal. Can't wait to recommend this place to friends!

Muru is a nice option in Cusco, close enough to walk to downtown, shops, and San Blas, but away from the noise. We loved our stay and already miss it. The rooms were spacious, with a kitchen and sitting area, and everything in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms was clean. The front desk staff were the friendliest and most caring I've met in Peru. Breakfast was yummy, with different food each day during our few days there. The waiter was kind, friendly, and respectful, and all the workers we met were great.
