Hotel San Agustin El Dorado

We had two roomy, comfortable rooms and were able to leave our bags at the hotel while we went on a 4 day hiking trip. The rooms were nice, and the sights were within walking distance. They serve a daily breakfast buffet with both hot and cold items. I’d stay here again.

Good service and a great location. Breakfast was good too, but they don’t always replenish it, so toward the end there’s less of it and the quality isn’t the same.

The bed was comfortable, the room very clean, and the staff friendly. Breakfast was okay, though not great, and the hotel is very close to almost everything. The location is incredible. My lower rating is because the shower didn’t work properly: the hot water ran out and the water pressure was weak.

When our group arrived, the rooms were freezing. They only have individual heaters, which were switched off, and some rooms didn’t have one at all. People also had trouble getting towels because some rooms had none. Breakfast is officially served from 4am, but at about 5:30 there was no coffee, the eggs were cold, no plates or glasses, and nobody around. This place doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars. Don’t waste your money.
