We were the only group at the hostel during the late January to early February off-season. The twelve of us shared three comfortable rooms at a very reasonable rate. It's safe, secure, and the staff are friendly. The manager met us at the bus station after our eight-hour ride from Lima, then offered lots of tips for things to do in town and treks farther out. Breakfast is included, and laundry is available for a few soles. Two adorable, friendly kittens keep watch over the rooftop terraces. The WiFi is spotty, but hopefully you won't spend too much time on your phone anyway. Enjoy!

Melina helped us arrange rides for hikes, Chavín, and other trips. She and her family are gracious and kind, and know the area well. Some Spanish helps, but Melina communicates wonderfully either way. The hostel is very clean and well maintained, with breakfast on the roof each morning. It's a lovely place to stay in Huaraz, in a good spot that's a pleasant walk from the town center and away from the thick of things. The WiFi can be unreliable, but hopefully you're not in Huaraz to spend time on your device.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the terrace has a great view. The whole family helps create a welcoming place. I enjoyed staying at Santiago's House and felt great there. Lovely!

The hostel was clean and tidy, and breakfast was very good. The owner was amazing and helpful, as was her daughter. But the best part was the huge, cutest bunny rabbit we've ever seen. We definitely recommend staying here. Enjoy!
