Amazon Wonder Expeditions

Franco was our guide, and his enthusiasm for the jungle and its wildlife really came through. Since seeing wildlife was our main goal, he worked hard to show us as much as possible. He identified over 20 bird species, and we saw a wild sloth, monkeys, pink and grey dolphins, and all kinds of insects. While we were canoeing, he even grabbed a caiman from the water so we could get a good look. We went down the yanayacu river, visited a 400 year old ceiba tree, caught piranhas, and ate them with dinner. We had a wonderful four day, three night stay with Amazon Wonder Expeditions. We arranged everything online, and Luis communicated clearly about the booking, hotel pickup, and what to bring. The trip to the lodge was easy, and the boat ride was lovely. On arrival, we had lunch with some guests who were finishing their stay. All the meals were tasty and balanced, with different local fruit juices each day. The room was comfortable with the fly nets closed in place, and every staff member was very accommodating. When one of our bag straps broke on the way back to Iquitos, Luis took us to a local tailor who fixed it in minutes. There were many thoughtful acts like that during the trip. For a four day stay in the Amazon jungle, the price was very affordable. You won't regret booking with them.

The guide Eduardo was phenomenal and made sure we were safe throughout. He went out of his way to make the experience enjoyable, and the hospitality was so good I felt like I was with family. If you're after an amazing tour, this is the right place. They're wonderful and very trustworthy. Go visit, you won't regret it.

Aldo knew the jungle well and guided us safely on the hikes. He spotted camouflaged animals and showed them to us without disturbing them. The food and lodge were wonderful, and we saw plenty of animals and caught some piranhas while fishing. Allen and Luis, the managers, communicated really well and have put together a very ecologically sustainable tour. It was an amazing experience, and I recommend it to everyone. The only small downside is that it costs more than other companies, but I'd still recommend it.

Our guide, Francisco, was experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Luis was courteous, organized, and easy to communicate with, and the staff at the lovely lodge took care of everything we needed.
