Curassow Amazon Lodge

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at Curassow Amazon Lodge in Sep 25, and had a fantastic time. Our guide Flavio, driver Emanuel, and the whole team, including Ceasar and Martin, were kind, friendly, and helpful. We hiked, swam in the Amazon, went Piranha fishing, and saw so many animals. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and the food and drinks were really delicious.

Antonio and Ivan were amazing guides, and we had the best time with them. Our 1 night, two days stay was enough for us. We saw sloths, held a Caiman our guide caught, and caught Piranhas to eat. Such a great time at Curassow Lodge, highly recommend.

My first trip to Peru and the Amazon was a comfortable one, with clean accommodations and friendly staff who were always around to help. I stayed 3/2 and enjoyed it enough that I'd consider coming back for longer. Fabio, my guide, and Jeremy, the boat driver, called themselves jungle boys and shaped the experience around what interested me. What I liked most was watching animals in their natural habitat. You can't count on seeing a particular animal up close, but you will see plenty. This is a must for anyone who loves the outdoors and nature doing its thing. Some animals are high in the trees or far off across the river, so next time I'd bring a camera with a good zoom. My iPhone got some good photos, but proper zoom would help. A bandana for the mosquitos is also on my packing list. Hopefully this wasn't my last visit.

We spent five days at Curassow lodge with Flavio and Ivan as our guides, and it was unforgettable. The bungalows were great, and the food was fresh, healthy and really tasty. We saw beautiful nature and loads of wildlife on excellent tours. The staff and guides were knowledgeable, very friendly, and respectful toward nature and the nearby local communities. We even played soccer with the staff, as shown in the attached picture. Gracias Ivan and Flavio!!
