Hotel Gran Marañon

The bed was incredibly comfortable, the rooms have AC, and everything was very clean. Staff were friendly, and the internet was good enough for me to FaceTime my family. Breakfast usually included eggs, fruit, bread, jam, butter, some rice, juices, a yogurt drink, coffee, and tea. Their laundry service was nice, but give them a day or two to return your clothes before you head off.

I keep coming back whenever I'm in Iquitos. They offer airport pickup, so look for someone with a sign or the van in the parking lot. Most of the rooms I've tried have been great, though a couple didn't have good hot water. The accommodations are otherwise great, with breakfast each morning, a small clean pool, and comfortable places to sit and chat. The staff are always nice. Take the stairs up to the roof for a spectacular view of the city.

There was visible mold on the walls, and we got sick from it. They moved us to a new room, but that didn't help. The shower knobs wouldn't turn the water off.

Simple, but pleasant and clean. The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were very helpful.
