La Casa Del Frances

The price was low, 15 soles for a dorm bed, and I did have a good time overall. Still, I was bothered by being charged an extra night for checking out late. I understand that's the rule, but after a week there, with only one other guest in the hostel, it felt avoidable. The location works well, near the river and mercado de Belen, and the family running it are nice. There was work going on, so it was dusty. My bed and sheets were old and torn, with holes, and the room wasn't cleaned during my week there. There was dust, a plastic bag, and a cigarette filter on the floor. No fan in the room. The toilet was cleaned each morning, but there was no toilet paper. WiFi was very weak, and the small kitchen had old equipment.

The owners are very kind, and guests can use the kitchen. It's close to the centre and the location is great. The rooms weren't very clean and the beds were old, though the price is very low. I'd suggest dealing with the street noise and putting some fans in the dormitory.

A friendly, family-like place where people are open and welcoming. It's also a good spot to practice Spanish. This economical hostel is near Plaza De Armas, though you should expect some noise given the location in Iquitos.

For 15 soles there's a bed, shower, fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, and a lovely patio to hang out in. The hostel is close to Plaza de Armas and the other things you might need. The gate stays locked and the owners keep an eye on it around the clock, which made it feel very safe. I felt more welcome, safe, and comfortable here than anywhere else during my time in Perù. The owners are incredibly kind, and the other guests they attract are lovely too. Beautiful people, good energy, music, and humanity. Thank you, you'll stay in my heart ♥️
