Breakfast was good, and getting to and from the airport was easy. The hosts were warm and accommodating, and the city center was nearby. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

I spent three weeks working in Iquitos and nearby communities, and the volunteer group placed me in three other hotels during that time. None matched Posada Allpahuayo for cleanliness, hospitality, or how much I trusted the people there. I’ll stay with Victor and Yoli again when I return. As a first-time visitor to South America, I arrived for a medical campaign without knowing how to arrange transport, get supplies, exchange money, or recover luggage lost by the airport. Yoli sorted it all out quickly. Their daughter Marcela was considerate, and housekeeper Madith did a thorough job. Victor also gave me useful advice for avoiding natural hazards while doing medical work in the jungle, and I followed it closely. There was a small safe in the closet, though after a few days I felt I didn’t need it. I trusted them completely. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and filling. Bottled drinks were available for half the price of hotel drinks. The help I got from the owners was one of the best parts of my trip.

With only five rooms, the service feels personal, and Yoli and Victor are attentive and friendly. The place is very clean, safe, and unusually quiet for Iquitos. Rooms have air conditioning, hot water on demand, and private safes, and breakfast is included. It’s 2 km from Plaza De Armas and 1.4 km from Belen market. Both are an easy walk, or a mototaxi costs 3 soles. Great value, and we’d stay here again.

The location keeps you away from the noise, which is a real plus since central Iquitos is VERY loud. A tuk tuk to the center costs just 3 soles. Yoli and Victor are wonderful hosts and will pick you up at the airport. There are only five rooms, so it feels cosy. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with air con, a fan, and a safe. The shower had good pressure and hot water, and breakfast was nice too. Great value, this place is a gem :)

Friendly people and a clean place, with airport service. It’s a little far from the town center, but that’s a good thing; the motocars can get pretty overwhelming with all their noise. The internet didn’t work, so I had to go out to get connected.
