The hotel is good, but the receptionist is the problem. She can leave you outside ringing the bell for up to an hour because she's always on her phone. It's cold, and instead of a warm greeting, she gives you a dirty look as if you're "interrupting" her.

It’s a peaceful place to relax, and the rate is about average for the market. Breakfast is included, basic but enough to start the day. We came back after a few years, and while some maintenance issues have crept in, it’s still much as we remembered it. It used to be called Turistas de Juliaca. The hotel is very spacious, with a well-appointed lobby and common areas, comfortable seating, and beautiful paintings.
