La Casona Real

After a terrible stay at another hotel in the city, they found room for us here at the last minute and hurried to let us check in early. They’d noticed from my documents that it was my birthday and left a little treat and card in the room, without me asking. The staff were so kind and helpful with recommendations and arrangements throughout our stay. The rooms were lovely and clean, breakfast was nice, and the building itself is beautiful. It’s right in the center and easy to walk to everything we needed. You could hear clubs on the street, though that might depend on the room. I’m used to city noise, so it didn’t bother me or affect my stay. I had an amazing time here.

The old traditional building is lovely, and it’s very close to the central square. The rooms are spacious, though the bathrooms are on the small side. The main problem is the nightclub across the street, with loud music going until 3-4 am. If you need a quiet room, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff’s hospitality was above and beyond. When our excursions started at 3am /4am, before regular breakfast hours, they prepared breakfast bags for us to take along. I also left my charger behind, and they quickly went to look for it. Shout out to Christopher, who arranged two amazing trips to Rainbow Mountain and Sacred Valley and checked whether the drivers had arrived on time.

Everything else was good, but the karaoke noise was so loud it went on until 4-5am. I needed earplugs to sleep.
