BTH Hotel - Boutique Concept

It was really noisy at night, and the hotel uses a strong cleaning spray that smells like cheap cologne. The room and furniture felt cheaply made, while the bathroom needed a serious clean and upkeep. I wouldn't mind so much at the usual average rate, but prices were ridiculously inflated at the end of November.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was really good. It's a modern, hip place that works very well for business travel. I'll be back soon.

The people were nice, but our room felt cramped for a couple. There was barely room in the small bathroom for personal things, and the tub was deteriorated. We also had an uneven mattress and just one type of pillow, with no option to change it. At first we were put in a room that was very noisy from late and early traffic, as well as the electric engine on the ground.

I wasn't sure about staying when I first arrived late from the airport. I thought I'd move somewhere else the next day, then ended up staying another 11 nights. It's cozy and warm, with people who seem glad to have you there, excellent service, very clean rooms, and quite chic rooms. Management also stopped by to see how I was doing. It isn't a fancy 5 star hotel, but it doesn't pretend to be. The family atmosphere they've created is hard to beat. Madbar is a good bar, and the restaurant is excellent. Lima has plenty of great restaurants, but our group was often just as happy eating at the hotel. I'd probably pick this place again if I return to Lima. Recommended for business travellers and family groups!
