Casa Andina Premium Miraflores

The location was amazing, and the breakfast buffet and customer service were good. For the price, it wasn't a bad stay, though you could probably find similar quality nearby. The problem was that it was labeled a 5 star hotel, which set our expectations too high. The rooms were really outdated, and snacks and water in the room cost extra, unlike at some hotels we've stayed at. If you're looking for a true 5 star experience, I'd spend a little more and book an actual 5 star place in the area.

They kept the atmosphere warm and hospitable during Christmas, which we really appreciated. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating, and couldn't have been more helpful in guiding us toward activities suited to our family.

Breakfast had tons of variety and was amazing, though the machine coffee sucked. The brewed black coffee was decent, sort of like the coffee at Dennys. The indoor pool was really good, and the kids loved it. There's also a dry and wet sauna. The hotel is generally clean and well maintained, but the large rooms and bathrooms are dated, past their prime, and need renovation. The Miraflores location is good, although it's about a 20 min Uber ride to plaza de armas.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was really good compared with other hotels. The room we were given had no air conditioning. We called the front desk the next day, and they sent a technician who said it needed repair. We asked to move to another room, but were told the hotel was completely booked. I checked their web page and saw they did have rooms. They offered drinks at the bar, but we don't drink; then they offered food on the house, even though we'd paid in full. The supervisor was supposed to email us, but never did. Very disappointing.
