Casa Fanning Apart Hotel

The room could use some work: the furniture is older, the plugs are loose, and the bathroom is laid out in a very cramped, awkward way. Still, I found the staff helpful and friendly, and most could speak English. There’s a large space with a kitchen, dining area, living room, and bedroom, plus the Wi-Fi was pretty solid. The area felt safe, with staff opening the front door whenever you come or go. I stayed two nights, got a convenient late checkout, and they kindly held my luggage before I checked in.

The hostel sits up high, so there’s a bit of a walk uphill. Nothing too bad, though you may notice the altitude if it’s your first time here. It’s central otherwise. The staff were really nice and helpful, breakfast was good, and they stored our bags on the last day. I’d suggest adding a few hangers in the room so towels have somewhere to dry. We couldn’t find anywhere to put them.

The apartment had the kitchen equipment we needed, so it felt like home, and the facilities were clean and cosy. We also felt secure during these pandemic times. Mabel was a very welcoming host, and Monica and Paola were especially kind and helpful throughout our stay. We were completely satisfied with Casa Fanning and would recommend it for longer visits as well as short ones.

Breakfast came right to our room, and the staff even called after check-in to see if everything was all right. The service was great. There was loads of space for the two of us, enough that a whole family could fit comfortably in the apartment. It’s also a short, safe walk to Mira Flores the next morning. A great place to stay, highly recommend it.
