D'Osma Bed & Breakfast

We had a comfortable bed and a perfect breakfast, and the neighborhood was nice, full of restaurants. The owner and staff were kind and helpful. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time in Lima, and being happy with the accommodation was part of that. I’d definitely recommend this cozy place. Thanks for having us 😊

I only spent one night here, but the staff made arrival easy and helped arrange my ride to the airport. The hostel was clean and had some charming details. I’d heard it could be loud, though they provide earplugs, and with the fan running in my room I couldn’t hear the street.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when arranging taxis. If you’re clearly not Peruvian, I’d suggest asking them to call one, since you’ll get a better price. Laundry came back quickly, though I think it cost more than in Cusco. The room was also surprisingly quiet despite being on a busy street. I can’t comment on breakfast because the smell kept us from spending much time in the hotel. I’d been looking forward to our stay and really wanted to like the place, but our room smelled unbearably moldy as soon as we entered. We asked to move and were shown two available rooms; one was even worse. We chose the more expensive room and had to pay the upgrade, even though we were moving because of the mold, and that room still smelled musty. The ceiling seemed to be made of moisture-absorbing material, and our sun window, which opens, was propped open with a block. Given that construction, I worry removing the mold won’t be an easy fix. My s.o. is especially sensitive to it. There’s a lot the hotel has going for it, but this smell was a major problem for us.

We really appreciated how accommodating they were with my girlfriend and me, and hope to stay again in a few weeks when we fly home from Lima. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the place felt very safe. D'Osama is in an excellent spot near lots of bars and restaurants, with plenty to see and do nearby.
