I paid S/ 35 soles for a double room for one night, and it came with a 35-inch TV. The place was quiet, so I slept peacefully, and the room and cleanliness would have been a 9/10 if not for mud on the wet, muddy floors. The mattress and pillow were rock hard, almost like concrete, and made sleeping difficult. There was no hot water, so a shower on a cold night was impossible. The area in SMP is good, but there’s no parking and I’d worry about leaving a vehicle there. Young people staff the hostel, and they don’t give a check-out time. I found the women working there friendlier and more courteous than the men. Entry and exit are controlled by management through an electric gate.
