The room felt old, and there was no hot water in the shower. The receptionist wasn't especially friendly or helpful either. It's also somewhat far from the beach and from the center around Kennedy park. That low rating makes sense.

The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were just right, and the WiFi worked. The location was good, the price decent, and the water was hot. There are a couple of excellent bakeries nearby, so getting a great breakfast was easy. The room itself could use a makeover. Furnishings were very old, and the bathroom and closet had the same ancient wooden door that wouldn't close all the way. Noise came through freely. The sheets and towels looked a bit worn, though they were clean. The room and bathroom were almost clean, with cobwebs in the bathroom. At least they helped keep mosquitoes out, since the bathroom had no glass or proper window.
