Virreynal Hotel

We had a terrible stay and I strongly suggest choosing another hotel. The rooms were old, outdated, dirty, and noisy. We could hear people talking outside; the TV didn't work, and the fridge hummed loudly. The shower was the only thing that worked. We were asked to pay an extra 6 dollars per night as a “service charge” when we arrived. I should've left then, but paid it. I waited in the room for 15 minutes for my friend, who wasn't allowed in when she arrived because she didn't have the right ID. The owner was rude, impolite, and even aggressive, and wouldn't help us. We didn't want trouble, so I politely asked for our money back so we could find somewhere else. I'd paid only 15 minutes earlier and hadn't even used the room, but the owner refused to refund anything. She seemed angry for no apparent reason, ignored us without even looking at me, then left the building. We didn't know what to do. After she left, the kind young staff let us into the room. It was awful, so we stayed just a few hours before leaving to find somewhere else. Probably my worst hotel experience ever…

The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, and we had a horrible experience. Staff repeatedly asked us for tips, which felt very disrespectful. At checkout, we were charged a $30 fine for a small spot of dirt on the sheets. That made no sense. We were also told that if we didn't leave a bad review, we'd be charged "only" a 20-dollar fine.

There was mold on the bedroom walls, the carpets were dirty, and the rooms weren't hygienic. The customer service wasn't good, the TV didn't work, and we didn't like the bathroom. Breakfast had just one option, the same every day. I wouldn't recommend the place. There's a lot to improve.

The hotel was okay, and breakfast was good, but it needs some work. Our first room had two beds pushed together with an obvious gap down the middle. The fridge hummed loudly, and it made the same noise in the other room we switched to. One of the rooms we stayed in was missing towel racks.
