Maracol Bungalows Vichayito

Waking up by the beach to the sound of the waves was lovely, and the bungalows have their own character and are well equipped. I had a massage by the pool with an excellent therapist, which they arranged for me. The beds were so comfortable, the hospitality was amazing, and the ceviche and patacones were fabulous. There were six adorable puppies to play with, too. It's family friendly, with a playground for little ones. I'd love to come back.

We came with our two kids, who had plenty to do with all the outdoor games and facilities. We could relax on the private beach beds and watch whales pass and jump right in front of us. Mara and the staff gave us an amazing welcome. At first we thought the hotel was far from everything, but then realized it's one of the most beautiful and exclusive spots in Vichayto. Moto taxis make it easy to get around, about 15 soles to Organos or Vichayto and 25 to Mancora. It's also a great place for kitesurfing. A thermal wind starts around noon and is perfect, about 5 knots stronger than at Mancora beach. You can do a one-hour downwind ride from the hotel to Mancora and take a moto taxi back. In the morning, the light wind is good for foiling.

We had an amazing family stay. The rooms are gorgeous, and there are lots of amenities and games for both kids and grown-ups. It's close to the sea, and the service was perfect. Highly recommend it.

The kids had a blast playing, and we all enjoyed the activities, delicious food, and spotless surroundings. We had a lovely Christmas here, including a bonfire, and the beach and pool were comfortably warm during the sunny season. Mrs. Mara and her staff were so welcoming and kind, and the place felt cozy. It was a wonderful family vacation. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it and definitely return in summer to enjoy this beautiful paradise again. Many blessings.
